The great weather we’ve enjoyed this Easter really helped to encourage people to #ShopLocal in Longridge, and come on down to submit their entries for the Easter Egg Colouring competition.
Local primary schools were given a Colour an Easter Egg poster to take home before Easter. To enter the competition to win a giant Easter Bunny and giant Easter Egg, they needed to hand it in to one of the participating shops by 4pm on Saturday 16th April.
Each participating shop also had 20 Easter Eggs to give away to the children coming in with their entries, and these were quickly snapped up as there were a total of 272 amazing entries! The drawings were taken to Longridge Town Council, who had the difficult task of choosing a winner of the giant Easter Bunny and giant Easter Egg from so many fabulous entries.
There were so many great entries it was hard to pick a winner, but the prize winner of the giant egg and giant bunny was – Millie Simpson from Alston Lane Primary!
Thomas Turner, Sales Director of Pendle Hill Properties, said: “What a great effort from all the children involved, I’m sure they had great fun and enjoyed their eggs! It’s wonderful to see Longridge high street so busy as well, with lots of families enjoying the Easter sunny weather.”
