Pendle Hill Properties will once again be showing their support for one of Longridge’s most popular community events by handing out hundreds of free flags as the Longridge Soapbox Derby returns this Sunday.
The much-loved, free-to-attend event will see the first race set off at 10:30 am, with further heats at 12:30 pm and 2:30 pm. Over 7,500 people are expected to line Berry Lane, cheering on the daring racers as they navigate three obstacles before reaching the finish line.
Alongside the races, visitors can enjoy a dedicated pit area, live entertainment, food stalls and plenty of family fun. The Soapbox Derby raises vital funds for St Catherine’s Hospice, which provides personalised care for patients and their families. St Catherine’s Hospice are the owners and beneficiaries of the event, working closely with delivery partners Love Longridge to bring the day to life.
Pendle Hill Properties have been enthusiastic supporters of the event since moving into the Longridge area. Following the success of their flag giveaway in recent years, the team will once again be distributing free flags to spectators, as well as offering the chance for visitors to capture the moment with the popular Pendle Hill Properties selfie frame.
Andrew Turner, Managing Director of Pendle Hill Properties, said: “The Longridge Soapbox Derby is a fantastic community event that brings people together in the heart of the town, all while raising money for such an important cause.
“We’re proud to play our part in supporting it again this year and can’t wait to see the streets lined with flags and smiling faces.”
